What Is ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)?

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is software that integrates core business processes — such as finance, inventory, purchasing and operations — into one connected system.

ERP connects the parts of a business so data flows between them — for example, a sale updates inventory and finance automatically — reducing manual work and errors.

Full ERP suites can be heavy for smaller businesses. A custom-built operations or finance tool can deliver the parts you actually need without the bloat.
